William Conkey Memorial Rose Garden and Museum Front Garden Roses

Chair: Pat Smith

Located behind the Community Memorial Museum on Butte House Road in Yuba City, this project features a beautiful English Tea Rose Garden and a charming Museum Front Garden with roses bordering the patio and tree roses. This serene space is enjoyed by the community and is even available for weddings! Sutter Buttes Garden Club volunteers dedicate their time to planting, grooming, and pruning the roses, ensuring their beauty throughout the year.

Sutter County Veterans Memorial Garden

Chair: Leann Hinz, Naty Flarida

Located at 1425 Butte House Road, the Sutter County Veterans Memorial Garden provides a beautiful and respectful tribute to our veterans. The Sutter Buttes Garden Club is honored to plant and maintain this important memorial garden.

Yuba Sutter Fair Admin. Building Front Planters

Chair: Louise Smith

We partner with the Yuba-Sutter Fair to enhance the entrance to their administrative building with seasonal plantings, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for visitors. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to beautifying public spaces in the Yuba-Sutter area.

Yuba City Fire Department - 2 Planters

Chair: Pam and Jerome Circo

We also partner with the Yuba City Fire Department, adding a touch of beauty and color to their station with seasonal plantings in the two front planters. We believe that even small touches of nature can make a big difference in creating a more pleasant environment for everyone.

Yuba Sutter Fair

Chair: Marie Dankman, Ronald Ingram

The Yuba Sutter Fair is a major annual event for the Sutter Buttes Garden Club. Our dedicated volunteers contribute countless hours to the fair, from setting up buildings and coordinating plant deliveries to ensuring correct display according to entry categories. We also manage the necessary paperwork for judging (including Adult, Children, and 4-H/FFA entries of plants, vegetables, eggs, and special categories) and staff an information booth to answer public questions about plants and our club. In a recent effort to promote new membership, we held a drawing for three container plantings. The Yuba Sutter Fair provides a wonderful opportunity for our members to showcase their gardening talents, compete in various classes and categories, and share their love of nature with the community.
